Raid with DC Figures..?
The project Onyxia raid they displayed before had a huge statue of the dragon. I see in DC action figures, they have some beautiful figures that could possibly fit into the scale as huge raid bosses such as Illidan Stormrage, Tichondrius, and Lich King.. may be we can create some more raid with these, any thought about this idea?
And we can have something like this:

It's a great idea! My mates and I, we love raid encounters, especially playing as a raid boss or defeating one is a fun quest!
I heard about Onyxia and have seen some pictures, but the rules /the set was never released, was it? The only version of an Onyxia encounter I found was on a french fansite and seems to be fanwork..
I tried to convert some encounters from the MMO like Gruul and like to have some random events in them, so I used a shuffled pile of ABCs to draw from. For inspiration I had a look at the guides from tankspot.com

Re: Raid with DC Figures..?
Yea we have never had a minis raid created by U.D.E, but Scylya has created the pit lord raid (in the topic with the same name), which is very awesome. I think to create a raid, we need to look back the sequence happening in the online game and learn how to do it from TCG as well as learning from the pit lord raid of Scylya.. we can post some rough plan and refine it together too..
Btw I already ordered some action figure, will post some pictures once they come to compare the scale..

There were actually several raids that went up on the UDE website. They were all pretty difficult to follow as they all had totally different rules and custom ABC's. To the best of my knowledge all three of the raids are unavailable now though, as they went the way of the dinosaur when the UDE website bit the big one.

This is the only link I could find to a raid that wasn't linked to the old UDE site. It's actually the only one I never tried. I know the other two from UDE were "the crystalline devourer" and "lethoras the blind". There was also a dungeon crawl scenario that was kind of fun. I'll keep looking, but there's not that much to look for anymore.

Thanks, the lethoras-raid was unfamiliar to me.. Me and my friends, we tried Lamia Morta, it's really fun, but you'll need some practice to play the boss.

I'll give it a try now that I found it again! There was another one that I forgot about too. I think it was "hastur, half demon priest of corcosa" or something to that effect.

Re: Raid with DC Figures..?
I actually did save all the raids and dungeons posted on UDE as pdf files. If you want it, email me at unpluggamer@gmail.com.
But personally I still like Pitlord raid of Scylya the most, because of its concrete, simple rules; it is also very easy to keep track too.. I also make pit lord raid rules a nice pdf with some pictures added in. Both dungeon raid are great to me (Warlord Kalithresh dungeon and the regular one)
Any way, having some well-done action figures as big raid posses would be cool and inspiring I suppose..

When Corle Huffman was making raids for UDE, I made the cards for his raids. I still have them if any one wants them. Feel free to email me and I'll send them along.

Re: Raid with DC Figures..?
I got a question relating the "Hastur"-raid:
In the introduction the size of the raid-party is set to exactly 6 members and 26/27 honor. Is this correct or is there a typo? Just 26 honor seem to be quite few, the party may contain 1 6-honor and 5 4-honor chars or 2 5-honor and 4 4-honor chars, not many choices here.
My collection doesn't allow me to play such a party, so I tired a 32 honor raid and it was quite a struggle..

Re: Raid with DC Figures..?
26 honors does seem quite tight for such raid...
Anyway I got some more big figures, Illidan Stormrage and Dethling Statue. I tried putting them with our minis again to visualize the scene of big bosses raid:

Illidan's scale is about right. I believe we can put together a small Black temple with Demons (The six-arms one and deathwatcher) , Felorcs (Gorebelly painted red), blood elf (Illidari Council?) and Naga..
Dethling, on the other hand could be used for a simple, stand alone dragon raid, and may be with some enraged fire spirit..

Re: Raid with DC Figures..?
Illidan fits perfectly and looks awesome!
For a really big raid(10+ characters) it's quite handy to have him standing on more than one tile, so you can attack with more than 6 melees or can create effects relating the front of the boss, such as parrying or lesser armor on the back etc..
