I think 5x Murlocs could actually work, haha. Possibly with iceblock?

I don't think anyone has 5x Mortimers, luckily.

EDIT: REALIZED IT'S HIGHLANDER!

Ok, it might be because it's my pet team, but howabout a Jaina team?

Jaina DPS team might be the best 5v5 team.

Jaina: SGWE, Polymorph, Flamestrike
Dralor: Expose, Distract, Sap
Vigor: Cat Form, Bear Form, Boots of UD
Elanna: MT, Multishot, Distracting Shot
Parvink: Sunder Armor, Breaktrouhg, Mortal Strike

Answers for allmost everything xD

I don't like that there's only one ranged char to use Jaina's power.

Howabout something like

Jaina
Elendril
Vindicator Kaustron
Dizdemona
Phadalus

4 Pets, Totems, Magic, and Physical.
And a whole lot of 4 range.

I don't know about diz though.

The Jaina DPS team plays Jaina up front (well, right behind the meleeists Wink), not in the back. It's a bit risky but it's very potent.

IMO Velen beats the format. What you put in with him is a bit academic.

What do you think of somehow getting Heroic Leap in here? With so many possibilities of adjacent characters, that may be a big game shifter if played right.

I agree, I think Velen's power is unsurpassed in 5V5.

I still don't like the idea of having your only magic damage be Jaina.

#3 5v5 in Gamelord (Lodz, Poland)

1. Savin, Jaina, Jezbella, Ryno, Vigor
2. Haruka, Thangal, Daxin, Morova, Morganis
3. Umbrage, Nathressa, Elendril, Elanna, Parvink
4. Bolvar, Vigor, Jezbella, Savin, Namrah
5. Velen, Savin, Namrah, Vigor, Irana
6. Savin, Moonshadow, Phadalus, Parvink, Elanna

I dont have Heroic Leap, so i choose different ABC's for Parvink:) I've Played Velen vs Jaina DPS (same teams as nr 1 and nr 5, but ina another tournament, and Jaina DPS kicked my butt... Cheaper attacks, and Polymorph's)

Tested:
Jaina
Phadalus
Elendril
Savin
Dizdemona

and

Velen
Phadalus
Elendril
Savin
Vigor

Team 1 might replace Diz. Team 2 will replace Elendril and maybe Vigor.

Both seemed pretty viable though.

This is my build of 5v5 Extended Velen Wall:

velen: chain heal, woa totem, (SB) quick reflexes

savin: bulwark, flash of light, (SB) foremans reinforced helmet

namrah: shadowform, psychic scream, (SB) mass dispel

vigor: boots of utter darkness, cat form, (SB) bear form

irana: arcane flux, polymorph, (SB) flamestrike,

44 points, answers for Fear and Polymorph. Flux for Velen, because it can help him crits more easily:)

What do You think?

What do You think?

Love the team (it's one of the builds I have in my top 3) but I have some issues with the cards.

I hate Boots on Vi'gor. I find them overrated in 3v3 and in 5v5 they are even more useless (you will more often be next to two opponents than in 3v3). More problematic is the fact that if you side in Bear Form you have a dead card (switching Forms is rarely good when one is Bear Form, because of the shifting +1 health around sometimes causing you grief). I like Mark of the Wild or Tranquility better in that spot. In fact it's almost certainly better to play Tranquility.

Further, Chain Heal is almost assuredly inferior to Healing Wave in that particular incarnation of the band (no Graccus to split damage around and make sure Chain Heal is useful). The only matchup you want it in over Healing Wave is the mirror match.

The rest of our differences seem a lot like metagaming considerations. I am not comfortable not playing Chain Lightning because you're a dog to cheap Zoo teams if you only have Flamestrike to hit their pets. Mass Dispel seems like a wasted slot to me unless you think DOT-based Warlocks are going to be around (Ice Block teams are better dealt with with Polymorph, Flamestrike and possibly Purge). Even with mass DOTs, if you switch Vi'gor to playing Tranquility you should be fine.

The cards I have a tough time deciding whether I like them or not are Foreman's Helmet, Psychic Scream and Quick Reflexes. I think QR is inspired (I like Cleanse a whole lot better as a solution to Polymorph but with only one paladin we can't afford to play it, unlike the Graccus version of the band) but I doubt I have room for it. And it means cutting a business spell if you bring it in the game. Psychic Scream competes with Mind Blast and Mind Flay for that spot. Against any team that sticks close to the middle you want the Scream, but for range you really want Mind Blast early to be able to shoot at higher range (in particular it's a beating against the Vashj teams if you succeed on critting against a tricked out Vashj). Mind Flay is Tranquility #2 against any team with a guy with 1 Resist (meaning you more or less beat any Warchief Thrall-based Horde team). The Helmet, well, I would only play if there's a lot of Fear or Psychic Scream in my meta. Mainly, is there a lot of Warlocks, or is there a couple of mirror matches? If no, then it's a wasted slot.

thx 4 your comments BlackBloc!

This team is heavy-polish meta-made Smile Helm and QR are my "secret techs" against Ryno,Namrah and mages, because our meta is full of those characters:) I like Psychic Scream, because I like to make from time to time suicidal runs with Namrah on opponent side of VP, and usually hit w PS at least two-three figures. This can spread entire team, and I can kill opposing minis one by one.

As you suggest, I will try to change Chain Heal to Healing Wave and Boots to Tranquility (good with WoA Totem). I dont want to throw Mass D, because I expect Warlocks and Ice Blocks, and a lot of Expose/Sunder Armors xD

Why are you afraid of Ice Blocks though? Irana can take care of that with Polymorph and Flamestrike (if you Poly they can't Counter Flamestrike, if they Counter Poly you've got free reign to Flamestrike them as they can't Ice Block in response). As for DOTs, any good Warlock player can play around Mass Dispel, and you heal fast enough you don't need to get rid of the DOTs.

Varimithras
Haruka
Morova of the Sands
Thangal
Daxin

Sounds like a jank team, it's based around the healing, actually. Any thoughts?

Looks almost like the party I played at out test realms (look for a long post in the tournament section). Daxin is a very powerful piece in this party and adds a good amount of dps to an already decent dps-dealing party. Death coil or fear are really good in this format as well.
I chose chansellor velora in the end though, as I think the heal is needed to keep the central pieces alive. A dead morova or varimathras, or to a slightly lesser extent thangal, could really mess up your plans, and a heal could really help in dealing with a sudden spike of damage. Thant, and holy nova is never out of place in this party (average of 8 health swings for 3 ticks is good).
Oh, and thangal's main attack is amazing. You could even consider healing potion on him, as this allows to keep up dps and adjecency heals.

Yes, next to morova, a thangal main attack is an amazing healing engine. practically reverses a vari crit for you.

Chancellor Velora seems alright, but do I really want to have 3 people on my team with 2-2-4 attacks?

I've played yesterday with this version of Jaina DPS:

Jaina: SGWE, Poly, Flamestrike (SB)
Dralor: Distract (SB), Sap, Expose Armor
Elanna: Multi Shot, Master T, Distracting Shot (SB)
Vigor: Cat Form, Boots of Utter Darkness, Rejuvenation (SB)
Parvink: Sunder Armor (SB), Breaktrough, Heroic Leap

I think, that is the best version of this team:)
