So I hadn't heard from gypsy in a while, but I opened my mailbox today and to my surprise there's a package from him with 2 blindlight murlocs.

So I know I said my projects were on hold, but i'm gonna try and paint at least one murloc this week.

So thanks gypsy! You are the man. Thanks for always coming through!

I put a couple hours into the first murloc today. I'm quite pleased with how it's coming along. He's mostly red. I avoided metallic paints on his spear so I could paint his eyes mithril silver to give him a real blind look. Hopefully I can find an hour tomorrow to finish the base and post a picture.

I finished the murloc today. I was going to try for a water effect on the base, but couldn't find anything around the house that made me happy, so alas no water. He's looking pretty good though. Hopefully I can get a picture up later.

What I did for water is condensing and gluing foil paper on the top to create the crease pattern for wave, spray a coat then go the first layer with blue, second layer with darker blue for some area to show the depth, and dry prush third layer with white for the wave.
If the coat is black, then just dry prush all the layers: the first one with blue and the second with lighter blue and the third with white.. hope it helps

That's a great idea man! I think since I got this new job though, i'm just gonna bite the bullet and pay 26 bucks for some GW water effect lol.

Totally ingenious idea though!
