Just wondering what minis you already had. You had mentioned posting party lists and I was wondering what you're working with.

hi, here's list of all that I have:

Horde
-Aleyah Dawnborn
-Sidian Morningblade
-Lotherin
-Daspien Bladedancer(but I hacked him to pieces and I'm currently converting male BE hunter of him, I'll use Conqueror Alunas rules)
-Ji'lan
-Hulok Trailblazer
-Drokkar of the Four Boars
-Gorebelly
-Conqueror Aluna
-Ona Skyshot
-Azarak Wolfsblood
-Varimathras

Alliance
-Vindicator Hodoon
-Ruby Gemsparkle
-Harnum Firebelly
-Vi'gor Darkbreeze
-Ixiamos the Redeemed
-Zaritha

Monsters
-2x Frostsaber prowler
-2x Sunscale Scytheclaw
-Ironfur Bear
-Crushbridge Ogre

I've tried to build my horde list so that it would have Hulok and Aluna conversion, as my mmo characters are of those classes/races, but haven't found much synergy there.

My current plan for Alliance is:
-Vindicator Hodoon
-Vi'gor(with bearform)
-Zaritha

Don't know what abilities I will use, but the idea is to stack huge amount of armor on Vi'gor (he can get up to six with hodoons aura and zaritha's heal crit)and with taunt and Zarithas healing keeping everyone quite survivable, but I'd need to find a way to boost damage input of Hodoon.

I don't really have much actual gaming experience with the game yet, i've just forced my GF to play couple 2vs2 games with me Razz
I will buy another deluxe starter and see what I've got then. I'm not really looking to collect all of the models, rather just geting enough for two players to play the game and have some options.

btw, you've been very helpfull and I appreciate it.

Well I'll have to look up what ABC's you have, but the best way I can see to boost vindicator hodoon's damage is to put the hand of rag on him. It will boost his attack significantly, the only downside being the 4 honor cost. Plus the damage it does back can make casters think twice about attacking him, as the 1 damage to a mage is about 20 percent of their life. Just an idea.
The hand of rag came with ixamos so I know you have it.

Vigor's bearform allows allies to heal when they hit crits too; together with aura of Hodoon and healing skill of Zaritha I would say this team is hella strong in defending but it is hard to hit your opponents too. According to what you have may be Ruby is a better choice than Zaritha, for she is a mage with stronger attack in many ways. Or you can keep Zaritha but add more attack card for her such as Magma Totem and Chain Lightning.. I do think Hand of Rag is a really good option because it is easy to hit crits and benefit from Vigor's ability.

I have to say you've had some decent pulls for not investing that much. I'm sure a few more boosters would open a huge number of possibilities for you.

Since you're not really trying to collect and just playing at home you could always just print out whatever you need and proxy cards that way. You could get the full experience with minimal cost!

I had thought about Sulfuras on Hodoon, but I came to conclusion that it's partly wasted when carried by figure sitting next to a guy with taunt. BUT, I didn't concider shootin at all, it's a good option and I'll propably try it.
I'm fond of Zaritha here, as with her I can go to extreme levels with Vi'gors armor, and I kinda like to overdo stuff when it comes to game strategies Razz

BoDom, I actually have not pulled everything here, Vi'gor, Hulok, Daspien, ironfur bear and one of each frostsaber and scytheclaw I bought as singles(then I got the deluxe starter and pulled the other two, but you can't have too many pet figures, right?).
I've noticed there's no point buying boosters at the moment, as the singles are actually cheaper, and you get what you want.
Printing cards is what I'll propably do, if there ever will be offical tournaments again, I'd still have decent amount of "real" cards for one party(the real problem is dividing my current card collection between two parties, and doing it so that you don't know what other player has).

You certainly do have a lot of pets lol.

The best way I've learned to have 2 players playing from the same pool of cards is as follows:

Flip a coin, whoever wins chooses if they want to choose their team first or second. Whoever picks their team second gets first choice of ABC's.

Be sure that both of you side board cards, then at least it's some surprise what's on the other side of the table.

It's definitely a good call to buy single minis right now. The only advantage to getting boosters is the occasional loot card pull which can help bring some money back in.
